1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Letterwise, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Letterwise provides AI-powered interpretation of letters from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Our service translates complex tax correspondence into plain-language explanations, identifies required actions, and highlights important deadlines.

3. Not Professional Tax Advice

Letterwise is an informational tool only. Our interpretations do not constitute professional tax, legal, or financial advice. We recommend consulting a qualified tax professional for decisions about your tax obligations. Letterwise is not responsible for actions taken based on our interpretations.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Pay per interpretation: $4.99 CAD per individual CRA letter interpretation.
  • Monthly subscription: $9.99 CAD per month for unlimited interpretations.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are subject to change with notice. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time.

5. Refund Policy

If our service fails to provide an interpretation due to a technical error, we will refund the charge for that interpretation. Refund requests should be submitted within 7 days of the transaction.

6. User Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not misuse the service or use it for unlawful purposes
  • You must only upload CRA letters that you are authorised to access

7. Intellectual Property

The Letterwise name, logo, and service design are our intellectual property. Interpretations generated for you are for your personal use only and should not be redistributed commercially.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Letterwise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
